Something New is Launching
The All Their Things Interview Series.
Amidst the ongoing crisis that is American democracy, I feel strange launching new things. So here’s to holding both collective grief and joyful community. And the segue…
Next week I’ll be launching The All Their Things Interview Series.
I’ve been wanting to add more collaborative content to my corner of Substack for a while. However, my motivation for doing things has been lackluster because, you know, The State of the World™. But more than once a week I’ve been shellacking my eyebrows, slapping on mascara, calling the ole representatives, and faking it until I’m making it. It’s connection, community, and communication that might just be the only way through. At least that is what I’ve been experiencing to be true in the last few months. Also, a good brow can really lift a mood.
These monthly-ish interview features are intended to deepen community and conversation by highlighting the creative, curious, purpose-driven people that I love and admire. I hope these entries connect you with writers, thinkers, and doers who are also trying to live meaningfully.
Here’s a bit of context for the upcoming launch…
I generally write across four categories and the questions I leave for my fabulous guests are themed within those categories. I let the participants choose what questions they want to answer, so while you’ll always read four responses, they will vary. There will always be an All The Things You’re Into section at the end because learning about books, brands, music, and other small joys from other people is a tiny spark that keeps hope alive.
Think of the interview entries as conversational. More like a text exchange between friends rather than a formal Q&A. I hope these give a little peek into someone else’s inner world, the same way my essays invite you into mine
I don’t edit the responses. I do however add commentary via footnotes because one, it provides that chat-via-friends feeling, and two because I simply cannot help myself. She’s giving Yenta and we are embracing it.
This new content category will arrive in your inbox next Friday and will be sprinkled in along with my other semi-regularly scheduled programming. Most of all, I’m excited to feature some truly wonderful people and share their light in dark times.
Thanks for being here, and thanks for being you.
Catch up on my other thoughts about millennial relevance, being mediocre, raising a daughter, boobs, and vanity before the next newsletter arrives. <3

A good brow really CAN lift a mood, can't it?!
